Spyder

Imagine if James Bond was the size of a ten pence piece, had eight legs and was female! That is pretty much the premise of Spyder, my second book with Scholastic. Spyder was originally the sidekick for another character Anonymous but because he was a bit like Superbat, they asked me if I could write a story for her instead. The action takes place in a house where Spyder has to save a birthday cake from a pesky fly. Spyder was one of the books of the month in the Guardian and I took her to Cheltenham Festival where I did two events, one for 600 school kids which was chaos! The book was also nominated for the Lollies 2020 and I went along to a wonderful ceremony in February of that year, just before the world locked down! You can buy Spyder here
